To be in the presence of God is to be buried in an avalanche of love, tiny twisted creatures that we are. The fear of the Lord is the fear of the overwhelming righteous power of His love.

Vladimir Putin is an insane evil dictator who invaded the peaceful democracy of Ukraine without any provocation as the first step in his plan to subjugate all of Eastern Europe and restore the Soviet empire. Or. Russia has reluctantly responded to the Kiev regime’s constant artillery bombardment of the Russian speaking people of eastern Ukraine that has been going on since the CIA coup that overthrew the democratically elected government of Ukraine in 2014. And Russia is defending itself against an aggressive NATO that wishes to install military bases on the Russian border. Anything can be believed. Nothing can be known.

The MRNA vaccines are safe and effective and have saved millions of lives. Or. The vaccines neither prevent covid nor prevent its transmission,. They damage the immune system, cause myocarditis and other heart problems, and are responsible for millions of deaths. Anything can be believed. Nothing can be known.

The 2016 election was stolen by Russia, but the elections of 2020 and 2022 were the most honest and fraud-free elections ever. Or. The American election processes in such places as Maricopa County, Detroit, Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Atlanta, and others are riddled with corruption and fraud. Anything can be believed. Nothing can be known.

The mainstream media and social media are doing their best to present objective truth without favoring one set of opinions over any other. Or. The MSM, Twitter, Facebook, etc. are controlled by the intelligence agencies, big Pharma, and the Democratic Party and are instruments of propaganda and mind control. Anything can be believed. Nothing can be known.

An old friend from college days, who is now a Lutheran pastor, said to me in an email, “It has struck me more than a few times how remarkable it is that two nihilistic, narcissistic scoundrels like we were ended up being blessed by the joy of the Lord!”.

I confess there is still some of that “nihilistic, narcissistic scoundrel” hanging around. As the Holy Spirit, bit by bit, prys my fingers loose that hold tightly on to that old self, more and more I live in love, giving and receiving love.

Why do we hold back from coming into the light and love and freedom of Jesus Christ? I think it is fear of exposure and the desire to keep doing what we are doing in the darkness.

Hierarchy is the natural order of things. Even in a democracy where people get to vote, there is a ruling class. How people vote is controlled by the media. The media are controlled by the ruling class. Our ruling class in the United States of America is hopelessly corrupt and evil, the inevitable result of a people straying from obedience to Jesus Christ. The only remedy is for individuals to persuade other individuals that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life.

Jesus Christ is not only the way and the life. He is the truth. Those who know the truth of Jesus Christ are wiser than the most educated man in the world who does not know Him.

The U.S. government needs to lift the sanctions, apologize to Russia, beg forgiveness, and give up the dream of world domination. Until that happens everything will continue to get worse and worse no matter which political party is in power.

Jesus lends me His will so that I am able to obey His commands.

As the Holy Spirit works day and night to drag me up from the cesspool of my sins, I am constantly tempted to take credit for His work, when, in reality, my only contribution is to allow Him to help me.
