Watching The Five on Fox, I suddenly had the realization, these people are all really really rich. This is the rich peoples’ news analysis, Same is true of course on every other channel.
None of them have lost their health insurance because of Obamacare. None of them live in a town where the factory shut down where they and their parents and grandparents used to work. None of them have ever had a small business and cursed while filling out all the forms, and following all the regulations, and paying all the fines and taxes to every level of government, city, county, state, and federal.
They have no idea what they are talking about. It’s all theoretical to them. It’s not their fault they’re rich. They rose to the level of being allowed on TV because they are pretty, they are good at talking, they are go-getters, and they know how to stay within the boundaries of what’s allowed.
I can give you lists of bloggers, tweeters, podcasters, and plain ordinary people, from every side of the aisle, as they say, who are all vastly more knowledgeable and perceptive than the TV pundits. None of them will ever be on TV.
